Pret A Manger has opened a new shop with motorway services firm Roadchef at Tibshelf Northbound Services, bringing its food and drinks to drivers on the M1.
The new roadside store has created 10 new jobs in the local community.
It marks the eighth Pret store to open in partnership with Roadchef, following six previous site launches in 2026.
Further Pret openings are planned at Sandbach Northbound, Norton Canes and Watford Gap Northbound this winter.
The store stocks the sandwich shop chain’s full menu of sandwiches, salads, hot food, snacks and baked goods.
Pret A Manger head of franchise Sam Otterburn said: “It’s with huge excitement that Pret opens at Roadchef Tibshelf, bringing our Barista-prepared drinks and delicious food that’s made fresh on site, each day to more people travelling along the M1.
“Tibshelf represents the eighth Pret within the Roadchef network, and we’re delighted to partner with Roadchef to bring our Pret joy, quality and convenience to those looking for a break!”
Roadchef CEO Tim Gittins added: “Bringing Pret to Tibshelf Northbound is another important step in our growing partnership and our commitment to giving drivers greater choice and better quality food and drink when travelling across the UK motorway network.
“As our eighth Pret store, this opening reflects our continued investment in improving the overall roadside experience for drivers.”
He continued: “We’re proud to be building on our partnership with Pret, and I’d like to thank everyone involved in making this happen.
“We look forward to welcoming customers to Tibshelf and bringing Pret to even more of our sites in the months ahead.”
